Albert Leroy Smith, age 78, of Morristown, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at his residence. He was a veteran of The United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Wilson Smith and Mary Reba Smith; son, Michael Smith; and sister, Norma Buttry. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sherry Smith; children, Terri (Billy) Rickard, Vivian (John Boy) Solomon, Larry (Tammy) Smith, Gary (Brenda) Smith, and Wendy (John) Davis; grandchildren, Amy (David) Walker, Jason (Nikki) Rickard, Haley Smith, Trey Smith, Lyndsey Smith, Hunter Smith, Zach Smith, Aryn Smith, and Emily Davis; sister, Veronica (Charlie) Calfee; also six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 7 pm on Thursday with Rev. Harold Noe officiating.
