Barbara McCoy, age 71, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 12, 2017. She was born on August 22, 1945. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew “Bus” and Dorothy Nichols. She is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Carl “Sonny” McCoy; children, Sharon (Andrew) Griffin and Regina (Greg) Byrd; grandchildren, Cassandra (Will) Jenkins, Connor Carpenter, Brandon (Wendy) Byrd, Kendra Byrd, and Allison Schmidt; great-grandchildren, Anna and Katie Byrd; sister, Pauline Nichols; special nephew, Chris Osborne; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Monday, May 15 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. John Pinkston officiating. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
