Billy Allen Bradley, age 69, of Morristown, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 at his residence. Billy was born on February 26, 1949 in Knoxville to Talmadge and Helen Lewis Bradley. He attended Morristown East High School and received his GED. He was employed with the Tennessee Department of Transportation for thirty years until his retirement in 2006. On August 24, 1972, he married Brenda Fay Brown. His nickname, as many of his friends knew him by, was, “Ord.” Billy played slow pitch softball for sixteen years for Bell’s Auto Parts. Billy enjoyed golfing, Tennessee football and basketball, and Carson-Newman basketball. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen Bradley; and brother, Jerry Dean Bradley. Billy is survived by his wife, Brenda Fay Brown Bradley; son, James Allen Bradley and wife, Laura Benfield Bradley of New Market; daughter, Stacy Lynn Bradley Breeden and husband, Justin Breeden of New Market; grandchildren, Talmadge Russell Bradley and Tabetha Rhea Bradley; step-grandchildren, Taylor Erin Sane and Zachary Fletcher Sane; nieces, Shannon Burchett and Sherri Bradley; and half-brother, Frankie Bradley. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, March 29 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Chaplain James Goins and Rev. Justin Breeden officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Friday, March 30 at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Shriner's Hospital.
