Byron Callicutt, age 86, of Morristown, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 20, 2017 at his residence. He was a member of Cherokee Heights Baptist Church, and for many years, he was a member of the Callicutt Trio singing with his parents. He retired from Lenzing Fibers, a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War, and member of Masonic Lodge #231. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bethel and Ola Callicutt; granddaughter, Misty Jeffries; grandson, Dustin Davis; and brother, Vernon Callicutt. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Callicutt; daughters, Kathy (Hubert) Davis and Donna Greene; granddaughter as he raised as his own, Stephanie Rossow; grandchildren, Ashley (Scott) Runyan, Adam Greene, and Candance (Bill) Proffitt; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Addie Grace, Connard and Davis; brother, Bobby Callicutt of Greensboro, NC; and sister, Doris Stutts. A special thank you to Dr. Eric Delay and Staff and Amedisys Home Health and Hospice.  The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, March 23 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Ken Cole officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Friday, March 24 at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services with Rev. Justin Self officiating. In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to Cherokee Heights Baptist Church P.O.
