Carolyn L. Broyles Carter, age 76, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She loved the Lord and reading the Bible and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her father, Curt Broyles; mother, Gladys McDaniel; infant son, Ricky Eugene; and brother, Ronnie Broyles. She is survived by her husband, James Carter; sons, Jeff Carter and wife, Cris of Vonore, TN and Eddie Carter and wife, Caroline of Amberg, Germany; grandchildren, Nicole Carter, Chris Carter, and Olivia Carter; great-grandson, Quincey Stephenson; and nieces and nephews, Ritchie (Judy) Broyles, Chris (Bobbie) Broyles, and Tracie Broyles. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday, September 4 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Kenny Porterfield and Rev. Travis Porterfield officiating. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 5 at Jarnagin Cemetery.
