Donald Albert Cosens

Donald A. Cosens, age 90, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at his residence. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. He was preceded in death by his father, Lytton William Sidney Cosens, Sr.; mother, Lillie Mae Strange Cosens; and brothers and sisters, Lytton William Sidney Cosens, Jr., Robert Frank Cosens, Elizabeth Anne Cosens Davis, Cora Mae Rickey, and Edward Smith Rickey. He is survived by his wife, LaVerne Cherdron-Cosens; children, E. Diane Castanien and her husband, Donald Craig Castanien and Susan A. Cosens; step-children, Keith Pfannenschmidt and wife, Susan, Kirk Pfan and wife, Barb, and Kent Pfannenschmidt; granddaughters, Brittany Pfan, Brooke Pfan, Heather Pfannenschmidt, Jennifer Pfannenschmidt, and Elizabeth Diane Cosens; grandson, Kody D. Pfannenschmidt; and sister, Dorothy Rickey Smith. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, March 22 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home and a private service will follow with the family at 8 p.m. with Rev. Duane Ware officiating. Family and friends will meet 1 pm on Friday, March 23 at Mountain Home National VA Cemetery for military graveside services.
