Donald “Murl” Wilmeth, age 77, of Morristown, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Knoxville. His handle for his C.B. Radio was “Couch Tater.” He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Wilmeth; parents, Harrell and Katherine Wilmeth; grandson, Matt Winstead; brother, Grady Wilmeth; sister, Peggy Hefner; niece, Kathy Hurd; nephew, Tad Hefner; and great-nephew, Robbie Hefner. He is survived by his daughters, Donna (Chet) Yates of Big Sandy, TN and Kim (Robert) Williamson of Talbott; grandchildren, Wesley Williamson, Jesse (Kayla) Williamson, and Kaitlyn Yates; great-grandchildren, Dallas Williamson and Maddox Williamson; brother, Edward (Earlene) Wilmeth; sister, Barbara (Bobby Joe) Raines of Talbott; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, August 17 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Sam Youngblood and Bobby Joe Raines officiating. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, August 18 at Hamblen Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
