Ethel Allene Powell, age 97, of Morristown, previously of Tate County, Mississippi, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Heritage Center. She was a member of Morristown Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Morris Lavell Powell, Sr.; and son, Donald Wayne Powell. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Jean (Allen) Swearengin and Doris Evelyn (Doug) Bradley; son, Morris Lavell (Ann) Powell, Jr.; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Monday, September 25 at Morristown Church of Christ. Funeral services will follow at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the church with Minister Blaine Kelly officiating. Graveside services will be held in Crockett, Mississippi.
