Evelyn R. Hinkle, age 86, of Morristown, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Jefferson County Nursing Home. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Roach; parents, William and Elizabeth Tate; brothers, James and Ernest Tate; and sister, Elizabeth McNish. She is survived by her husband, Billy R. Hinkle; daughter, Barbara (Mike) Burnett; grandchildren, James Michael Roach, Rusty Stiner, Nicole Burnett, and Amanda (Clint) Bradshaw; great-grandson, Zachary Walker; brother, Bill Tate; sisters, Geneva Miller, Francis Troutman, and Dortha “Dot” Large; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Amedisys Hospice and Jefferson County Nursing Home for their care. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday, June 26 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Mike Hinkle officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 27 at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
