Nora “Evelyn” Shipe, age 89, of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Morristown, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 at Florida South Hospital in Orlando, FL. She previously attended First Baptist Church of Morristown and Manley Baptist Church, and most currently attended Lakeshore Baptist Church in Talbott. She graduated from Rutledge High School on May 17, 1943.  She has been in Florida for the past four years living with her son’s family, and was one month short of celebrating her 90th birthday. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Shipe; son, James Ronald Shipe; and parents, Archibald Earl and Ova Love Yates. She is survived by her sons, Timothy Howard (Barbara Gillum) Shipe and Gary Wayne Shipe; grandchildren, Danielle Love Shipe, Gabrielle Justine Shipe, and Samuel James Shipe; and sisters, Mary Pauline Mitchell and Katherine Elizabeth Fortner.  The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 p.m. Monday, April 25 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
