Gary Cooper Goodman, age 68, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel Cooper Goodman and Margaret Lorene Pope Goodman; brother, Ricky Goodman; and grandparents, Delbert Huston Goodman and Laura Cooper Goodman and Lillard C. Pope and Ruby M. Petty Pope. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Phyllis Mae Messenger Goodman; daughter, Lena Dye of Capron, Virginia; sons, Larry Honaker of Morristown, Jonathan (Lisa) Honaker of Springfield, and Stephen (Lana) Goodman of McDonald; grandchildren, Dalton and Cynthia Barton, Cason and Gavin Marr, Hayden Goodman, Shavna, Angel, Rachael, Montana, and Dallas Honaker, and Jonathan Young; and great-grandchild, Ava Sue Rose Barton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 1 at the funeral home with Rev. Harold Walker officiating. Interment will follow at 1:45 p.m. at Mountain Home National V.A. Cemetery.
