Glenn Buford “G.B.” Greene, age 70, of Mooresburg, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016 at his residence. He was a member of Calvue Missionary Baptist Church and was saved at an early age at War Creek Baptist Church in Sneedville. G.B. was the owner of G.B.’s Barber Shop in Bean Station for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Sallie Greene; sister, Wanda Mullins; and son, Michael L. Buchanan. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sue Greene; daughters, Robin (Tim) Corum and Melissa (Chris) Hall of Morristown and Connie (Jeff) Newman of Sevierville; grandchildren, Michael L. Buchanan II, Morgan Hall, Derrick Carter, Dylan Ramey, and Zachary Ramey; sister, Opal (George) Seal; brothers, Edwin (Lois) Greene and Emory (Carolyn) Greene; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to U.T. Hospice Service and especially Jonathan Lawson and Stacey Burreff. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday, September 25 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, September 26 at Calvue Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Zavattieri and Rev. Travis Bowden officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Rogersville.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
