H. Roy Johnson, age 87, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at his residence. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed playing pool and being with friends at the Senior Citizen’s Center where he earned his nickname, “One Shot Johnson.” He was preceded in death by his parents, Stokley and Eula Johnson; wife, Aileen Johnson; daughter, Linda (Larry) Stines; and sister, Madge. He is survived by his granddaughter, Rhonda (Richard) Mills; grandson, Larry Stines; great-granddaughter, Cory Stines; sister, Penny Livesay-Hodge; niece, Donna; nephews, Johnny and Terry; special cousin, Diania Long; special friend, Kathleen Cox; and many friends. The family will receive friends from1 – 2 p.m. Saturday, December 16 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Tim Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Hamblen Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
