Iris Lorene Llewellyn, age 90, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a loving wife and mother and cherished time with her family. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Morristown where she taught Sunday School for 32 years in the Preschool Department. This was the happiest time of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years John E. Llewellyn who was a prominent banker in Morristown for many years; parents, Robert Humphrey and Zella Humphrey Humphrey; brothers, Warren (Faye) Humphrey and Ray Humphrey all of Knoxville; and sisters, Helen Mackey of Columbus, OH and Iva Humphrey of Knoxville. She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca (Terry) Keathley of Knoxville and Lisa (Dennis) Horner of Talbott; grandchildren, Misty Hightower of Talbott, Megan McKinney of Sevierville, Chris (Megan Debord) Hightower of Greeneville, and Lauren McKinney of Knoxville; great grandson, Logan Hightower of Greeneville; sister-in-law, Mary Humphrey of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her special caregiver, Renee’ Harris of Knoxville and the nurses and staff at Parkwest Medical Center for their loving and compassionate care. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 8 pm at the church with Dr. David Williams and Rev. Ross Woody officiating. Family and friends will meet for a 12 pm graveside service on Saturday, 25th at Hamblen Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
