Jackie Keith Rutherford

Jackie Keith Rutherford, age 43, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord Friday, February 16, 2018 at his residence. Jackie was born in Lexington, Kentucky and raised in Arjay, Kentucky. He was a loving and generous husband, father, and son. He retired from the Army in 2012 as an Infantry Sergeant (E5). He was an active member of his church where he served on the worship team and in hospitality. He went on several missionary journeys to Honduras and India. Jackie was preceded in death by his grandfather, Hugh Rutherford; and grandmothers, Opal Smith and Gladys Kinkade. He is survived by his wife, Sonja Rutherford; son, Ean Rutherford; daughters, Tressa and Alexis Rutherford; parents, Jerry and Barbara Rutherford; grandfather, Jack Smith; brother, Jason (Danielle) Rutherford; three nieces; and one nephew. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 20 at Heritage Fellowship Church in Jefferson City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church with Rev. Jim Price officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 21 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for military graveside services.
