James Ronald “Ron” Wright, age 71, of Bean Station, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at his residence. He attended Fairview Bible Baptist Church as his health permitted and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a man of great faith. He was a retired truck driver with XpedX, formerly Dillard paper Co. Ron was a very generous and kind man who never met a stranger and always was willing to lend a helping hand. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lucille Wright. He is survived by his wife, Bettie Wright; son, Greg Wright of Knoxville; daughter, Kristie Wright of Knoxville; step-daughters, Rhonda Gregg of Knoxville, Lori (Shorty) Harmon of Greeneville, and Kimberly (Donnie) Nelson of Knoxville; grandchildren, Matthew Wright and Ava and Ayden Nelson; and brothers, Danny Wright of Knoxville, Gene (Sandy) Wright of Knoxville, and Gary (Brenda) Wright of Maynardville. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, January 12 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Bobby Helton and Rev. Steve Rogers officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 13 at Bean Station Cemetery for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
