Jerry “Keith” West, Sr., age 66, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017 surrounded by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by mother, Georgia Lee Mooney West; brother, Oliver Joe West Jr.; and sister, Dorothy Gaye Royston West. He is survived by son, Keith West; daughter, Melissa West Shisler; father, Oliver Joe West Sr.; brother, James (Becky) West; sisters, Rosa Simpson, Marie Lawson, Judy Lawson, Garland (Cliff) Cooner, Wanda Haley, and Patricia West (Jackie) Arwood; step daughter, Judy Beard Maltba;; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 pm on Friday, November 3rd at the funeral home with Rev. Brian Thurman officiating. Interment will follow in Dotson Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family request donations go toward funeral expenses.
