Kenneth Raines, age 70, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Johnson City. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Raines; daughter, Karen Raines; mother, Ruthie Raines; brother, Paul Raines; and sisters, Mae and Bessie. He is survived by his grandson, Ben (Brionna) Gibson; special cousin, Alice Faye Norman; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Saturday, December 3 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Owen McCloud and Rev. Jeff Irwin officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 4 at Hamblen Memory Gardens for military graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
