Lawrence L. “Goat” Lephew, age 86, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He retired from Lea-Wayne Knitting Mill after fifty years of service and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Lephew; son, Lawrence Brian Lephew; parents, Frank and Kate Lephew; brothers, Jim, Bruce, Shine, and Slick Lephew; and sister, Hazel Winstead. He is survived by his daughter, Sandy (Phil) Taylor; grandchildren, Christy (Richard) Turner and Kattie Lephew; and great-grandchild, Taylor Turner. The family will receive friends from 10 – 12 p.m. Saturday, August 26 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Jeff Holt officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
