Mary C. (Carmichael) Rogers

Mary C. Rogers, age 88, of Talbott, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She was a lifetime member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and was a retired mail carrier with the the United States Postal Service. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Leon” Rogers; parents, Robert and Mattie Carmichael; brothers, Benjamin Carmichael and Don Carmichael; and sister, Bobbie Lawson. She is survived by her children, Donna (George) Cochram, Lonna (Keith) Rickard, Thomas Edward (Mari Lou) Rogers, and Vince Kesterson (Teresa) Rogers; grandchildren, Dr. Keilan Rickard, Abbilon (Gene) Whaley, Zach (Stephanie) Cochram, Zarah (Tim) Bates, Marideth (Josh) Longmire, McKinley Rogers, Mattie Rogers, Micah Rogers, and Molly Rogers; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Norma Rogers, Daisy Carmichael, and Jeanette Carmichael; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m. Sunday, April 15th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Tim Jones and Rev. Kenny Boling officiating. Family and friends will meet for an 11 a.m. graveside service on Monday, April 16th at Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery in White Pine.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
