Melinda Sue Ayers, age 28, of White Pine, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pearlie and Lee Ayers and Hazel Lindsey; and uncles, D.J. and Jamie Ayers. She is survived by her children, Nevaeh Roberts, Curtis Lindsey, and Jada Mae Ayers; mothers, Marie (Joe) Lindsey and Frankie (Rick) Ayers; father, J.B. Ayers; brothers, Dustin Ayers, Tracy Ayers, and Nicholas McCorkel; sisters, Regina Ayers, Jaiden Lindsey, and Tabitha Johnson; grandfather, Leroy Lindsey; special friends, Brian Lindsey and Sammie Swann; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 p.m. Thursday, August 24 at Leadvale Missionary Baptist Church in White Pine. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church with Rev. Charlie Harkleroad officiating. Interment will follow at Bethesda Cemetery. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
