Millard “Allen” Tackett, age 67, of Talbott, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was originally from Grayson, Kentucky and was employed by Custom Tools. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Clarence and Pansy Tackett; brothers, Clarence, Shirlie, Herbert, Raymond, and Rickie Tackett; and sisters, Janet Tackett and Dottie Ferry. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Tackett; sons, Tim McMurray and Clarence Hipshire, Jr.; daughters, Tracy Tackett and Amy Coffman; grandchildren, Trey Coffman, April Carpenter, Sara Coffman, Jeremiah and Jasiah McMurray, Chase McMurray, Xander Hipshire, and Noah Hipshire; brother, Jack Tackett; sister, Effie Owens; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday, July 24 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, July 25 at the funeral home with Rev. Phil Hopkins officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 26 at Pleasant vValley Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky for graveside services.
