Joyce no words can express the sorrow that Harry and I have. We are so glad to have known this kind and wonderful gentleman. Pearce, Harry prays that you hit them "straight and long". You were a good friend.

Uncle Pearce was adored by my Mom, Ann Louise Young. Loved by all her children.

All those years ago, I remember the shrimp boil Mom gave for his birthday in Fountain City, Tennessee, when Great Grandfather John Pearce Cann came to visit for the holidays in Tullahoma, Tennessee and the photograph of Great Grandfather Cann, Grandfather Ray, Uncle Pearce, Uncle Mack Ray, my father, me and my brother; Kenneth Pearce Young. And when Uncle Pearce came with Grandfather, Grandmother and Uncle Mack to Athens, Georgia Christmas Day. Uncle Pearce got me book on the US President.

I also remember how happy Uncle Pearce was when he introduced us to his lovely bride, Joyce, at their reception. Grandmother was thrilled. Joyce is an eternal blessing for Uncle Pearce. And a blessing and a delight for the children of the sister who adored him as well!

Peace be with my cousins, Jennifer and Pearce. Your Father was good and decent man. We will all miss him very much.

And Heaven only knows what mischief Pearce and Ann Louise are already getting into!

Dear Joyce.
Uncle Pearce - A man of many rhymes. He could take your name and make a sing song rhyme that would make your giggle.
My mom would get so excited when he would visit. She would run and put lip stick on and run back to the door with a huge smile and arms open wide. She would talk about his fun hair and his "chuckle " laugh. They truly had fun together.
My childhood memory was Christmas in Athens Ga when he gave me a baby stroller for my dolls I played with that for years. Our dog Fluffy even got to ride in it.
My God give you peace through this journey.

We first met Joyce and Pearce in 2003 while vacationing at Seacoast Gardens, New Smyrna Beach, Fl. A lasting friendship developed each winter as we played, worshipped and ate together. Their love and devotion to each other is a storybook love story. This love carried over to all their friends and family, and even strangers. Milton and I, along with all our Seacoast Gardens family, will miss our winter fellowshipping with this special couple. As you can see, Pearce's smile could light up a room, just as he lit Joyce's life. We love you. Peace be yours through our Lord and Saviour.
