Rodney Quinn Murphy, age 44, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Murphy; father, Virgil Murphy; brother, Michael Franklin Phillips; and step-father, Michael Phillips. He is survived by his daughter, Kayla Murphy of Knoxville; mother, Fayrene Phillips; fiancé, Rhonda Cummings; grandchildren, Chandler and Bryson; brothers, Jerry Dalton, Greg Murphy, Justin Murphy, Dustin Murphy, Jason Murphy, and Jerry Borum; and sisters, Lucille Dalton, Patricia Dalton, Penny Johnson, Tracy Long, Robin Murphy, and Jennifer Phillips. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday, March 11 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Leonard Dalton officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2 p.m. Monday, March 12 at Dalton Cemetery in Bean Station for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
