Shelvie Jean (Eller) Short, age 78, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at her residence. She was born on April 21, 1938 and was a member of Talbott Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Cecil Eller; brother, James Thomas “J.T.” Eller; and sister, Peggy Lowe. She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Clarence Short; children, Darrell Short, Reneau (Kevin) Bogle, and Regina Short and fiance, Billy Mitchell; grandchildren, Cory Short, Austin Short, and Kendyl Bogle; step-grandchildren, Dylann and Jayden Bogle; step-great grandchild, Peyton Jording; and honorary granddaughter, Delisa Carter-Webb. Special thanks to the staff of U.T. Hospice. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 14 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Mike Henegar officiating. Family and friends will meet at 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 15 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
