Sherrie Gail Carlson, age 67, of Greeneville, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Life Care of Greeneville. Sherrie, a twin, was born to the late Samuel and Edith Cotton in Boston, Massachusetts on August 16, 1949. She attended Massachusetts schools. She married Wayne Carlson, no children, who preceded her in death. She has a brother, Edward Cotton, who lives out of the country. Sherrie later moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Sherrie was raised in the Jewish faith, but later accepted her Lord and Savior, Jesus (Yeshua HaMashiach) Christ. She was a talented singer and song writer and had her own band. She ministered in various churches. Sherrie was also kind and loving and gave a lot of encouragement to the Christian body as well as to others. Cherishing her love and precious memories are her friends and caregiver, Glenna Minard, along with her other many friends. She will be greatly missed. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 31 at Yeary Cemetery with Rev. Tim Jones officiating. Glenna Minard wishes to express ultimate and sincere appreciation for every act of kindness that has been expressed through prayers, calls, cards, flowers, and all attendees of this going home celebration.
