Virginia Vasti Bishop, age 99, of Morristown, born June 6, 1917, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 after a brief illness at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System with her family by her side. She was the oldest living member of Calvary Baptist Church and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Nelson Bishop; son, Wayne Bishop; parents, William “Bill” and Bertie Cameron; brothers and sisters, Leeander Cameron, Barshie Cameron, Lorene Cameron, Marcella Gibbons, Elsie Massengill, Jessie Cameron, Ted Cameron, and Helen Boyles. She is survived by her son, L.N. Bishop and wife Rose; daughters, Margaret Davis and Barbara Bowlin and husband, Earl; grandson and caregiver, Tony Williams; also 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive 6 - 8 pm Friday, August 26th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 pm at the funeral home with Brother C.H. Harville officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 27th at Jarnagin Cemetery for graveside servivces. Pallbearers will be Billy Bishop, Tim Bowlin, Derek Bishop, Michael Holt, Brent Watson and Tony Williams.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
