Virginia Faye Parker Lawson, age 75, of Newport, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Newport Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Shields Guy Lawson and Jessie Parker; and parents, Sherman, Sr. and Ada Ruth Allen. She is survived by her children, Tim Bryant of Newport, Brian Parker of Newport, Kimberly (Heath) Wise of Newport, Sally Parker of Morristown, Trish (Barry) Jarrell of Warrensburg, and Oliver, Jr. (Stacy) Bryant of Florida; brother, Sherman, Jr. (Jeannie) Allen of Ohio; sisters, Carol Price of Newport and Ann Silcox of Arizona; beloved cousin, Carolyn Bryant; loving friend, Linda Holt; special nephew, Sherman Allen III; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. Monday, June 13 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Hamblen Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
