Walter O. Isom, age 75, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at his residence. He was retired from Berkline, enjoyed fishing, and loved the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, Augustus and Alice Isom. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Isom; step-children, Scott, Karen, and Gary; brother, Esco (Gerladine) Isom of California; sisters, Sara (John) Ford of California and Margaret Price of Maryland; and several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Special thanks to caregivers, Alma and Gary Mullins and Chris and Jaden, his special buddy. Also, special thanks to Mark Gibson of All Care, Amedisys Hospice, Dr. Cooze and Dr. Perez. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, February 17 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Brian Southerland officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 18 at Economy United Methodist Church Cemetery for graveside services.
