Billy Reed Obituary

Billy Joseph Reed, of Morristown, departed this life peacefully at his residence to be with the Lord on March 20, 2024. Bill was born in Sweetwater, TN on October 27, 1945 to the late Willy and Mildred Reed. Bill served in the Air Force and was stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam War receiving many honors. Bill retired after many years of service as a County Extension Agent for Jefferson County. After his retirement, he and his wife Mary traveled all 50 states with their tour company “Reed’s Good Times Tours”, including 17 times to Alaska. Bill loved the Lord and his last church membership was at First Baptist Church in Morristown. Bill also enjoyed teaching Financial Peace courses during his retirement, playing golf, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by sisters, June Presley and Ruby Strandridge. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Mary; sons David (Cherie) Reed and Ben (Carla) Reed; grandchildren Austin, Laryn, Anna, and Carter Reed. A graveside service for Honored Veterans will be held at a later date in Sweetwater, TN at Sweetwater Memorial Park. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
