Allan Harley Schwegler, age 71, of Jefferson City, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. He was born April 13, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri. He is the son of the late Harley and Melba (Bush) Schwegler. Allan had a successful career in Human Resources, holding positions in Missouri, Texas, North Carolina, Indiana, and Tennessee. Everyone who knew Allan enjoyed his big personality and his amazing love for his family and friends. Allan is survived by his wife, Virginia Ruiz Schwegler, originally of San Jose, Costa Rica; daughters, Laurie (Bill) Matney and Angela (Scott) Helton; sons, Todd (Marcela) Schwegler and Scott Schwegler; granddaughter, Brooke Helton; brother, Paul (Karen) Schwegler; and several other family members who will greatly miss him. The family would like to extend thanks to all the friends, neighbors, and others for their visits, preparation of meals, and their prayers and support. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Monday, June 18 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. with Pastor Scott Helton officiating. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at East Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
