Betty Ann Barnes, age 60, of Morristown, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 at her residence after battling lung cancer for a year. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Barnes; parents, John and Annie Grooms; step-children, Rachel and Jennifer Barnes; and brother, Jimmy Grooms. She is survived by her children, Timmy (Kristen) Grooms and Sharon (Scott) Rutherford; grandchildren, Matthew and Tayla Rutherford; sisters, Linda Anjorin, Debbie (Fran) Beall, and Sarah Barrett; brothers, Jackie Grooms, David (Susie) Grooms, and John (Christina) Grooms; and also many cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday, July 30 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Bobby Kitts officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 31 at Hamblen Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
