Brenda Sue Dodson, age 62, of Russellville, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She was a member of Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in Mohawk where she was a faithful member for 20 years. She was saved at an early age and really loved the Lord. She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Collins; father, Chester Collins; and sisters-in-law, Debbie Collins and Pamela Collins. She is survived by her daughter, Faye (Bob Love) Trent; sons, Mike Lawson and Travis (Misty Barnes) Lawson; sisters, Kathy (John) Murray, Pat (Junior) Holt, Vatris (Jim) Crittenden; brothers, Floyd Collins, Marvin Collins, Larry (Angela) Collins, and Donny (Lisa) Collins; nine grandchildren, LaQuiesta Guinn, Preston Mills, Brittany Smith, Kaycee Smith, MaKayla Lawson, Cody Lawson, Audrey Lawson, Brandon Lawson, and Wyatt Lawson; three great grandchildren, GraceLynn Grey, Trinnity and Treyson Sellers; also several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, July 19th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 pm with Rev. James Cline and Rev. B.J. Collins officiating. Graveside services will be 1 pm on Thursday, July 20th at Creech’s Chapel Cemetery in Whitesburg. Pallbearers will be Donny Collins, Larry Collins, Marvin Collins, Floyd Collins, Travis Lawson, Mike Lawson, Lee Rhoten, and Preston Mills.
