Candice Dawn Short, age 33, of Morristown, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 21, 2018. Candice was a beautiful, strong, and amazing young woman whose testimony has and will forever change many lives. Her faith in God enabled her to prove that nothing is impossible as long as you believe in yourself. Candice was a member of First Baptist Church Morristown where she helped lead Bible studies and groups for women battling addictions. She has truly been an inspiration. Candice was born on June 1, 1984 to Rezina Ward O’dell and Dewayne Scott Brewer. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, J.D. Carroll Ward; and grandparents, Bill and Mildred Brewer. She leaves behind her husband, Nick Short of Texas; three beautiful daughters, Brooklyn, Bailey, and Cadence Short; grandmother, Carzell Ward; sister, Heavenly Breeze Brewer; brother, J.D. Ward; step-father, Curggie O’dell; niece, Zayler Ward; nephews, Zander, Jackson, and Stuner Ward; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Candice was loved by so many and will be dearly missed. We love you Candice. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 25 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Don Beach and Rev. Richard Webb officiating. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 27 at Jarnagin Cemetery. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
