Cecil C. Phillips, age 74, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Irene Phillips; parents, Otto and Martha Phillips; brothers, George Phillips and Larry “Buster” Phillips; and sisters, Marie Helton, Brenda Lakins, Ella Phillips, and Liz Lumburger. He is survived by his children, Betty Helene Long of Morristown, Patricia Lovin of Kingsport, Clarence “Pete” Phillips of Etowah, Sam Phillips of Corryton, Ricky “Red” Phillips of Morristown, Randy (Julie) Phillips of Talbott, Deborah “Sissy” (Brian) Dunn of Jefferson City, and Jennifer (Terry) Lawson of Florida; aunt, Helen Dalton; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. Sunday, January 7 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Truman Coffey and Rev. Terry Greene officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 8 at Hamblen Memory Gardens.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
