Charles Patton Hoskins, age 63, of Mooresburg, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the home of his son and daughter-in-law in Rogersville. He was born on December 21, 1953 in Alva, Kentucky to Boyd and the late Betsy Ann Hensley Hoskins. Before retirement, he was a coal miner, electrician, and truck driver. He was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed blue grass music and the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betsy Ann Hensley Hoskins of Washburn. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda Knuckles Hoskins of Mooresburg; father, Boyd Hoskins of Washburn; son, Jerry Hoskins and wife, Michelle of Rogersville; daughters, Teresa Strei and husband, Chris of Morristown and Misty Shepard and husband, Brad of Talbott; brothers, Jim Hoskins and wife, Kathy of Morristown and Robert Hoskins and wife, Mary of Jonesville, Virginia; sister, Edith Pauline Westerhold and husband, Mark of Strawberry Plains; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Special thanks to granddaughter, Kimberly Warren, care-giver, Sarah Learn, the staff of Heritage Center, Morristown EMS, and Dr. William Williams and nurse, Becky. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 p.m. Tuesday, October 31 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Jeral Robbins, Jr. officiating. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 1 at Hensley Cemetery in Smith, Kentucky. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
