Charles Ray “Bulldog” Williams, age 86, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was a member of Community Fellowship in Christ Church, and served in the United States Army during Korea. He worked at American Enka for seven plus years and retired from Davis Electric after 33 years. He loved making and giving away scarves. Ray never met a stranger and had a gift for remembering everything. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josie Williams, first wife and mother of his children, Pearl Lorraine Williams Hall; parents, Isaac and Bunia Williams; brothers, Richard, Burl, Horace, Kenneth, Lloyd, Jesse, and Ross Williams; and sister, Doris Wisegarver. He is survived by his sons, Eddie (Linda) Williams, and Freddie (Barbara) Williams; daughter, Karen (Don) Shockley; grandchildren, Jared, Karrianne, Chris, Brandon, and Travis; also five great grandchildren; and brothers, Bobby Joe and James Williams. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, January 15th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 pm with Rev. Danny Hensley and Rev. Trevor Roberts officiating. Family and friends will meet for an 11 am military graveside service on Thursday, January 16th at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
