Charlotte Gibbons Roberts, age 79, of Morristown, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at her residence with her loving husband, Joe, and her family standing at the gate with a big smile to welcome her home. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she served on several committees. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, and friend. She was a well-known dental assistant and also had a business for many years, Charlotte and Joe’s Catering, which she loved. She also loved taking care of people and was the caregiver for the late Rev. J.B. Gulley. She was truly loved by her husband, Joe, for fifty-six and a half years, her family, friends, and church family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and best friend, Joe Roberts; her loving parents, Henson and Otha Love Gibbons; sisters, Ozella, Elsie, and Imogene; brothers, Kyle, Coy, H.M., and Gerald; and nephews, Mike Gibbons and Anthony Yount. She is survived by a very special great-niece, Acoya Gibbons; sisters-in-law, Kate, Velma, and Lucille Gibbons; nephews, Clint, Kevin, and Darvin; several great-nieces and great-nephews; very special friend, Frank Walker; best friends, Geneva Tullock and Alton and Joan Green; and her extended family, the employees of Westside Chapel Funeral Home, Linda, Tim, Jordon, and Lynn. The family will receive friends from 12 - 1 p.m. Saturday, September 2 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Dr. Larry Parrott, Rev. Mike Henegar, and Rev. Tim Jones officiating and James and Vicky Tullock and Lynn Brooks providing the music. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
