Christopher "Daniel" Hubbard

Christopher Daniel Hubbard, age 39, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 in the hands of the University of Tennessee Medical Center Critical Care Unit, where he received excellent care. Daniel grew up in Morristown where he was an all-around star athlete. He was a standout pitcher and player for many of the city’s all-star teams and for the Morristown-West High School baseball team. Daniel proudly sported the number 6 jersey and was his big brother Gabe’s hero and all-time favorite baseball player. Daniel is preceded in death by his precious grandparents, Paul & Lucille Hubbard and Geraldine Lethgo. He is survived by his beautiful children, Kyler and Kaylen; father, Darrell; mother, Terry; step-mother, Lee; and siblings, Gabe, Ryan, Brock, Justin, Chris, Charlie, and Rebecca. Daniel was a cherished son who made his father and mother extremely proud, the best big brother to look up to, and a father who loved his children with all his heart. We love you, Dan. We will all miss cheering you on, but we will see you again in Heaven one day. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 22 at Manley Baptist Church, 3603 W. Andrew Johnson Highway, Morristown, TN. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Tony Buchanan officiating. Interment will follow in Sunderland Cemetery. Daniel’s battle with addiction is, sadly, a common struggle. Let his death serve as a warning and a plea to anyone whose addiction is harming your relationships with family and loved ones. Please seek help—for your family, for your friends, and for your children who love you with all their hearts.
