Claude Elwood Burzell

Claude Elwood Burzell, age 79, of Morristown, went home to be with the Lord on   Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his father, Aldon Elwood Burzell; mother, Florence Eliza Jane Smith Buttry; and brother, Robert Aldon Burzell. He is survived by his wife, Cecelia Ann Rines Burzell; sons, Jeff (Jennifer) Burzell and Ernie (Donna) Burzell; daughter, Deyoun (Terry) Majors; grandchildren, Demitria Majors, Caleb Majors, and Piper Burzell; brothers, Tom (Claudia) Buttry, Harry (Chris) Burzell, Bill Burzell, and Cameron Burzell; sister, Nancy Burzell; several nieces and nephews; and many friends that he thought of as family. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, July 26th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Mike Hodges officiating. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 27th at Hamblen Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Morristown-Hamblen Humane Society Animal Shelter.
