Clifton D. Wolfe, age 81, of Morristown, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was born in Hancock County, TN on December 6, 1935 and was married to Edythe Harvey for 61 years. He was a member of Rock Bridge Baptist Church in Hancock County and later moved to his membership to Alpha Baptist Church. Clifton was a retired businessman and farmer. He was co-owner of Morningside Phillips 66 with Ralph Odom, and co-owned Wolfe Car Sales with the late Ray Wolfe. Farming was his passion as he raised tobacco, vegetables, simmental, charlois, and angus cattle on his farm near White Pine. Clifton was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Blanche Wolfe; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob Harvey Sr. and Anne Jackson Harvey; brother, Raymond Wolfe; nephew, Danny Wolfe; brothers-in-law, Duane Umberger, Bob Harvey Jr., and Lon Wolfe Jr.; sisters-in-law, Ella Umberger, Helen Chambers, Willie Joe Wolfe, and Anna Lee Wolfe; grandparents, John and Mollie Wolfe and John and Bertha Helton. He is survived by his wife, Edythe Harvey Wolfe; son, Dennis Wolfe both of Morristown; sisters, Jewell Wolfe of Morristown and Sophia Wolfe of St. Simons, GA.; sister-in-law, Marie Russell Harvey of Asheville, NC.; brother-in-law, Mitchell Schaker of St. Simons, GA.; nieces and nephews, Sandy Brown of Perrysburg, OH., Suzanne Terry of Bulls Gap, Joyce Mullins and Judy King of Morristown, Teresa Umberger of Jefferson City, Robbie Morgan of Wilmington, NC., Jim Wolfe of Morristown, Raymie Wolfe of New Orleans, and Colonel Bob Chambers of The U.S. Army in Fort Jackson, SC.; special pet cats, Orange and Gray; Also special thanks and gratitude to good friends, Ron and Regina Ryan, Becky Buhls, Chris and Barbara McCamey, sisters, Jewel and Sophia Wolfe, and the employees of Howards Pharmacy and particularly Chris Rippetoe for their unwavering support. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Monday, June 12, 2016 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm at the funeral home.
