Dan K. Jarnigan, age 75, of Mooresburg, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, May 28, 2018 at his residence. He was saved at a young age and was a member of Slate Hill Primitive Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher. Dan loved the Lord and shared his testimony with many along the way. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Kenneth and Jane Purkey Jarnigan; and sister, Ellen Dalton. He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Claudette Jarnigan; sons, Scott (Robin) Jarnigan and Dallas (Lisa) Jarnigan; daughters, Claudia (Tracy) Clifford and Danielle Lucas; brothers and sisters, Rev. Jim (Jan) Jarnigan, Gary Jarnigan, Rev. Robert (Kathy) Jarnigan, Patsy Fuller, and Brenda Sue Jarnigan; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone for their prayers, love, food, and everything else that was done. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 30 at Slate Hill Primitive Baptist Church: 1822 Slate Hill Road, Mooreburg, TN 37811. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 31 at the church with Rev. Richard Watts and Rev. Jamie Jarnigan officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Kirkpatrick Cemetery. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
