Daryl Lynn Spencer

Daryl Lynn Spencer, age 65, of Morristown, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was born on February 3rd, 1954 and was the son of Herman and Wanda Spencer. “God has taken the best side-kick we could have possibly have asked for to have by His side in the Heavens above. He was the man who taught me how to fish, how to ride a bike, how to grill, and most importantly, to be the best father to my kids. He showed me the true values of being a man, a provider, and a security blanket for my family. He has watched over and protected us from day one, and I know that he is still doing the same from the best seat imaginable. I will never say good-bye to my daddy, for I will only say until we meet again so we can wet those lines in your bass boat in the skies. So, this “Buds” for you and five dollars on the first fish: Daddy’s little buddy, Clint.” Daryl was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda; father, Herman; brothers, Larry, Harold, and Bryan; and step-daughter, Kennetha Spencer. He is survived by his wife, Christina Spencer; son, Clint Spencer; grandchildren, Lauren, Landyn, Grace, Brody Spencer, and Lyric Norton, whom he loved and cherished; brother, Lester Spencer; Also several nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends who loved him dearly. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, February 28th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. with Father Mark Holland officiating.  Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
