David Eugene Davis, age 56, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He worked for thirty years on the dairy farm of Bill and Peggy Howell, was owner of Davis Auto Sales and Repair, and also was a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Joyce Davis of Onieda; brother, Jimmy Paul Davis of Jamestown; nephew, Paul Davis of Jamestown; and special sister-in-law, Thomasa Davis of Tazewell. He is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Teresa Davis; children, David Davis, Jr., Nathan (Jennifer) Davis, Daniel (Tabitha) Davis of Sevierville, Rebecca (Jessie) Calfee, Jacob Davis, and Virginia Davis; grandchildren, Cassie Davis, Dixie (Waylen) Davis, Annie Davis, Noah Davis, and Khloe Calfee; sisters, Cathy Patton of Pineknot, KY, Pauline Allen of Newport, Darlene (Jim) Bussey of Cincinnati, OH, Betty (David) Harding of Albany, KY, Marilyn Davis of Knoxville, and Marie(Jamie Hansard) Koger of Knoxville; brother, George Davis of Newport; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, April 27 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Donald Gibson officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 28 at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
