Dearl H. Eddington

Dearl H. Eddington, age 71, of Talbott, went to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. Dearl was retired from American General Insurance where he had a passion to help people. He was a huge U.T. sports fan and was inducted into the Morristown Parks and Recreation Hall of Fame for his many years as a volunteer coach for youth sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Edith Eddington; brother, Larry Eddington; and god-mother, Imogene Morgan. He is survived by his wife, Donna Eddington; children, Eric (Amber) Pratt, Lindsay (Patrick) Jenkins, Morgan Eddington, and Randy Eddington; god-father, Bill Morgan; sisters, Cathy (Mike) Richardson and Judy Penland; brother, Michael Eddington; and grandchildren, Weston Pratt, Kelly Pratt, Paige Jenkins, and Taylor Turner. Special thanks to the staff on the second floor cardiac unit at Fort Sanders for their care and compassion shown to Dearl and all of his family during his illness. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 3rd at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Tony Dalton and Rev. Todd Haley officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 4th at Martha Sunderland Cemetery for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
