There are people and relationships that transcend time and place, and Devonia was one of those people. No matter where I move or live, Morristown, will always be home, and Devonia was home to me. I was just a little fellow in the 1970s when I used to visit the Reynolds' home, down on Central Church/Apostle Road, and Deborah, Betty, Verlyn, and Debbie were the most wonderful and welcoming people I can remember. What was wonderful about the Reynolds' and Devonia is they (and she) always so genuinely happy to see my mother, Susan and me. She was just an incredibly genuine and sincere person. My mother and grandparents had lived next to the Reynolds in West Hills, and my mother and Deborah, Devonia, and Darius really grew up together. Then when my grandparents and mom moved away, I still always looked forward to getting a "dipdog" at the Dairy Queen where Devonia then worked. Again, same, warm, friendly, smile and happy person. My mother and Deborah remained close friends for life, as did Jenny Solomon and me until I grew up and moved away. But I never grew away from my wonderful memories of this fun, loving, and devoted family. And of course we lost Deborah two years ago-also heartbreaking. I just wanted Devonia's family to know how much Devonia, Deborah, and all of them meant to the Cosson family, and especially to me. We love you and will always remember the good times. If my grandparents Sue and Zeke Cosson were still around, they would join my mother Susan and me now in celebrating all of their wonderful lives. May God bless you all and them. Love, Benjy Hodges
