Donald E. “Road Hog” Choate, age 65, of Morristown, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claxton Choate and Carrie Smith; two brothers, Charles Choate and Edward Choate; and sister, Glenice Choate. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Linda Choate; children, Rev. Donna (Heather) Choate, Donald Lynn Choate, and Janie (Shaun) Matthews; grandchild, Hunter (Tyler) Crabtree; great grandchildren, Leland and Lelani Crabtree; brothers, Carl (Ann) Choate, Howard (Lois) Choate, Guy Choate (Joy Ledbetter),and Jack (Lisa) Choate; sisters, Wanda (Ralph) Landry; and Martha (Robert) Howard; uncle, Austin (Almy) Choate; special family friend, Troy Brady; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm on Tuesday, May 29th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 5 pm on Tuesday with Rev. Donna Choate and Pastor Mike Taylor officiating. Graveside services will be 11 am on Wednesday, May 30th at Hamblen Memory Gardens. A special thank you to U.T. Medical Center and U.T. Hospice.
