Doris E. Carpenter

Doris E. Carpenter, age 81, of Talbott, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She was born on April 28, 1937. She was a member of Brown’s Chapel Baptist Church in Talbott. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luke and Pearl Carpenter; sisters, Beulah Hodge, Irene Lovin, and Virginia Lovin; brothers, Bud Carpenter, L.D. Carpenter, and Ben Carpenter; and special friend, Ida Pearl Harbin. She is survived by her sister, Linda Welch; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 2 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. James Seals officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 3 at Carpenter Family Cemetery in Mooresburg for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
