Dorothy Jean Grace Vandiver, age 101, of Talbott, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Ridgeview Terrace Nursing Home in Rutledge. Dorothy was of the Baptist faith and loved Jesus with her whole heart. She was also a twenty year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 31 in Morristown. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vernon Vandiver; and her son and daughters-in-law, Carl and Nancy Vandiver and Nadean Vandiver. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Carleen Otto; grandchildren, Vicki Bailey, Todd (Janet) Vandiver, Tracy Middaugh, and Renee (Mike) Laning; great-grandchildren, Ryan (Lydia) Dewald, Rachel Dolunt, Aaron (Alicia) Dewald, Laura (Joshua) Seibel, Troy (Jaclyn) Vandiver, Brad (Mary) Vandiver, Chad Middaugh, Phillip Laning, Emily Laning, and Eric Laning; and great-great grandchildren, Brayden and Mackenzie Dewald, Samantha and Anthony Dolunt, Nathan and Liam Dewald, Jailyn and Nikolas Zuzga, Evan Seibel, Morgan and Kennedy Vandiver, and Vincent Vandiver, Trinity, Jacob, Brody, and Karly Middaugh. Per Dorothy’s request, no services will be scheduled. She will be cremated and laid to rest with her family in Michigan. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
