Dr. Douglas D. Cross

Dr. Douglas D. Cross, age 77, of Talbott, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019 at his residence. He was a member of the Breath of Life Church, and Dean of Libraries for over 36 years for Walters State Community College. He was a devoted, husband, father, and grandfather who will deeply missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland and Cleo Cross. He is survived by his wife, Helen Cross; son, Keith (Regina) Cross; daughters, Elisa (Ray) Williams, and Elaine (Tim) Huskey; grandchildren, Sarah Dent, Helen N. Erickson, Jenna Dague, Eunice Cross, Rose Cross, Cody Cross, Emma Williams, Ally Williams, Jake Huskey, and Max Huskey; five Great grandchildren; brother, Jack (Pat) Cross; sister, Emily (John) Bannach; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, September 26th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Bishop Richard Hilton and Pastor Jennifer Pressley officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Friday, September 27th at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
